Katherine Roadshow with Melons Australia and NT Farmers


NT Farmers and Melons Australia invites growers and industry representatives to a Grower & Industry Engagement Session in Katherine on Tuesday 21 April 2026. This full-day event brings together government, industry and producers to share important policy updates and discuss the issues shaping agriculture in the region.

The morning session will feature updates from government agencies and industry on topics including the Katherine Water Plan, environmental regulation, land clearing policy, regional planning, biosecurity and market access, water efficiency, and food safety standards in the melon industry.

In the afternoon, participants will take part in a facilitated workshop exploring key regional priorities such as biosecurity, infrastructure and supply chain challenges, and agricultural research and development.

Open to growers from all agricultural sectors, this session provides an opportunity to ask questions, raise challenges, and ensure the voice of producers helps inform government and industry decision-making for the Katherine region.
