2020 Syngenta Australian Melon Conference & Field Day

The Syngenta 2020 Australian Melon Conference & Field Day will be held in Western Australia from 30th March to 1st April 2020. The event will feature field trials of the latest melon varieties. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn and socialise with growers and industry people. Don’t miss it!

The Conference will include a Welcome Event on Monday 30th March 6-8pm. The Industry Dinner to be held on Tuesday 31st March 6:30-11pm is being hosted at the Optus Stadium. This is an amazing venue.

The Field Day, Trade Show and Presentations on the 31st March 2020 will be held at Capogreco Farms near Waroona.

See a range of other farming enterprises on the Farm Tour on Wednesday 1st April. Three different farms will be visited. The Tedesco family at Center West Exports produce Australian carrots for the world on more than 500 hectares. Costa’s blueberry farm at Gingin will provide an opportunity to look at a different crop with huge potential in many growing areas. Trandos Hydroponic Growers is one of Australia’s premier hydroponic growers with state-of-the-art growing facilities. Greenhouse melons … maybe! They are also a significant supplier of grafted and ungrafted watermelon seedlings to growers across Australia. A barbeque lunch will be served at Guilderton Country Club.

What is happening at the conference?

The conference will have a focus on practical information for growers. The Field Day will showcase trade displays, machinery and field trials of melon varieties.

Technical presentations wil be held on farm with an opportunity to mix with delegates in the Trade Show and lunch.

Social events include the Welcome Event, Industry Dinner and Farm Tour lunch.

 What is my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Perth is serviced by a number of airlines and the taxi to the venue will take about 20 minutes.

The Industry Dinner will have courtesy buses between the Pan Pacific Hotel and Optus Stadium.

The Field Day will have courtesy buses running to the farm or you may drive and park.

The Farm Tours will have buses to visit the farms.

Where and when is the Welcome Event?

The Welcome Event will be held on 6-8pm Monday night, 30th March 2020 at the Pan Pacific Hotel.

Can I visit the farm trials at any time?

No, the Field Day is 31st March 2020. Due to biosecurity concerns, that is the only day that the farm will be open for visitors.

What’s the refund policy?

Refunds are available until 16th March 2020.

Yes, please bring your ticket.

Can I update my registration information?

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, but you MUST notify us of the change.
