Animal Health Australia, the Invasive Species Council, the Centre for Invasive Species Solutions and Plant Health Australia are excited to host the 2nd Australian Biosecurity Symposium on 3-5 May 2022 on the Gold Coast, QLD.
The Symposium will focus on biosecurity prevention and provide the opportunity to share research and innovation, explore outside-of-the-box thinking and exchange knowledge and ideas across the biosecurity collective – agriculture (animals and plants), pest animals, weeds, wildlife, aquatics, humans and the environment.
This year’s theme is ‘a decade of biosecurity: turning a moment into a movement.’
The MC is Costa Georgiadis (ABC’s Gardening Australia host) and 2 keynote speakers include: Dr Norman Swan (Scottish Australian physician, journalist and broadcaster) and Dr Anika Molesworth (agroecology scientist and farmer. Public figure on issues of food security, nature conservation, climate change and rural community development)
